INGAA Welcomes Continued Efforts on Permitting Reform

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WASHINGTON, District Of Columbia, United States, December 09, 2022 —

The Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) welcomes Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee Chairman Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) latest effort (Building American Energy Security Act), which further improves upon his previous proposal to expedite permitting timelines and judicial reviews for energy infrastructure projects.  We appreciate the Chairman’s longstanding commitment to improving permitting processes for greater deployment of natural gas pipelines and related infrastructure, which are critical to meeting our nation’s long-term energy reliability, affordability, and climate security needs.  INGAA will continue to work with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to pass legislation which enables the efficient and consistent development of critical energy infrastructure.
