Don Santa, president and CEO of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, today expressed his appreciation to the AFL-CIO for its support of pipelines and its recognition of the important role pipelines have to the American economy.
“We appreciate the AFL-CIO for its support of natural gas and oil pipelines and its acknowledgement that development of midstream infrastructure ‘creates good jobs and builds America’s industrial base.’
“As the AFL-CIO, notes in its executive statement, pipeline construction and expansion of pipeline infrastructure was estimated in an INGAA Foundation 2012 report as likely to create, on average, 125,000 jobs a year between now and 2035.
