Don Santa, president and CEO of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, today said he appreciated the administration’s recognition of the role of energy infrastructure in promoting economic competitiveness, energy security and environmental responsibility as part of the initial installment of the Quadrennial Energy Review, released today.
“INGAA appreciates the administration’s focus within the QER on the critical role of pipelines. This first volume of the Quadrennial Energy Review recommends greater coordination across agencies, cost recovery and greater resources for key federal agencies involved in the siting, permitting and review of infrastructure projects, including pipelines. We appreciate, as well, the recognition of the need for statutory reforms to improve coordination across agencies involved in authorizing and permitting energy infrastructure projects. INGAA looks forward to working with the administration to find ways to improve permitting of critical infrastructure projects.”
