The INGAA Foundation announced today that industry veteran Tony Straquadine will assume the role of executive director September 17. As executive director, Straquadine will be responsible for managing the Foundation’s technical and economic studies, implementing its strategic plan and overseeing the planning and studies process. He will also lead the development and execution of the Foundation’s meetings and workshops.
Straquadine, who has been involved with the INGAA Foundation as a board member since 2015, brings to his new role over 35 years of oil and gas pipeline industry experience. Prior to joining the Foundation, Straquadine worked with Alliance Pipeline, most recently as Managing U.S. Officer and Manager, Commercial & Government Affairs. While at Alliance, he was responsible for developing and implementing government relations strategies in the U.S. and Canada. Before joining Alliance in 1999, he held a variety of operational and senior human resource management positions at Halliburton Company.
“The INGAA Foundation is fortunate to hire an industry veteran like Tony as its new executive director,” said INGAA Foundation Chairman Mark Hereth. “Tony is uniquely qualified to lead the INGAA Foundation as it continues its mission of furthering the safe and efficient construction and operation of natural gas pipelines.”
Tony holds a Bachelor of Science degree in geology and geophysics from the University of Hawaii. In addition to involvement with the INGAA Foundation, he has served on the board of directors of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, the executive committee of the North Dakota Petroleum Council, the advisory board for Illinois State University’s Institute for Regulatory Policy Studies, and as the past chair of the Heat is Power Association, an association representing the waste-heat-to-power industry.
