Alex Oehler, interim president and CEO of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, today issued the following statement on the Senate’s confirmation of James Danly to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC):
“We thank the administration for nominating and the Senate for confirming James Danly to serve as FERC commissioner. INGAA congratulates Mr. Danly on his new role. As an independent regulatory agency, FERC plays a critical role in reviewing the energy infrastructure projects that provide Americans with safe and secure access to natural gas, delivering environmental benefits to our nation and affordable energy to consumers.
“INGAA looks forward to continuing its work with FERC and Congress to promote the benefits of natural gas and the safety of our nation’s natural gas infrastructure. We encourage the administration and Congress to prioritize the remaining open seat on the Commission and work towards a full complement of commissioners.”
