INGAA chair encourages prompt action to ensure access to energy

American-produced natural gas and the infrastructure that delivers it help warm our homes, power the electric grid, support domestic manufacturing, and create good paying jobs. Access to that reliable, affordable energy source is vital for all American families and businesses — but urgent actions by Congress and the White House are needed to ensure natural gas infrastructure continues to serve the American people, the economy, and our national interests.

As Chair of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) and President of BHE GT&S, a Berkshire Hathaway Energy Company, I urge lawmakers on Capitol Hill and in the White House to protect Americans’ access to the natural gas they need and want.

There are two immediate actions they can take. First, take decisive action on resource-neutral permitting reform. Second, nominate and confirm two new Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) commissioners without delay.,,
