INGAA applauds nomination of new FERC Commissioners

WASHINGTON, District of Columbia, February 29, 2024 – Amy Andryszak, President & CEO of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) issued the following statement upon the White House announcement that President Biden intends to nominate David Rosner, Lindsay S. See, and Judy W. Chang to be Commissioners on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

“INGAA and our members applaud President Biden for his nomination of three new commissioners to the FERC.  Further, we urge Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee leadership to quickly vet the qualifications of the nominees and advance them through the confirmation process to fill the vacancies at FERC.

“We are encouraged that the White House has started this important nomination process. Vacancies at FERC potentially risk the development of the energy infrastructure needed to deliver natural gas to American homes and businesses and to our allies abroad.

“As an independent regulatory agency, the Commission plays a critical role in ensuring our nation has reliable energy infrastructure to provide all Americans with safe, secure, and affordable access to natural gas, electricity, and other transportation fuels.  We look forward to a swift confirmation process in the Senate.”
