A group of gas and electric trade associations filed a letter with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Chairman Wellinghoff on June 20, 2012, requesting that FERC take a leadership role in scheduling and leading regional technical conferences to identify issues surrounding the increased use of natural gas for electric generation.
The coalition of trade associations included the American Forest & Paper Association, American Gas Association, Electric Power Supply Association, Indepdenent Petroleum Association of America, Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, Natural Gas Supply Association and Process Gas Consumers.
