As trade associations representing companies that produce, transport, and deliver American natural gas across this country and around the world, we support your Administration’s recent actions to hold Russia accountable for its aggression against Ukraine. Russia’s horrifying, unprovoked, and unjustifiable attack on Ukraine has precipitated a global crisis and cannot go unanswered. We support your ban on imports of Russian oil, liquefied natural gas, and coal and agree that it was necessary for the United States to take this step even when others cannot, given that the U.S. is the leading oil and natural gas producer in the world.
Our industry looks forward to engaging with you and your Administration to examine how we can guarantee sufficient resources are available to deter supply shortages now and into the future…
