Extreme weather events in recent years have exposed vulnerabilities in our energy systems, prompting a government and industry-wide evaluation to ensure Americans continue to have the reliable energy they expect. While progress has been made, more work remains.
Regardless of the outcome of next week’s election, the incoming administration and Congress must prioritize the development of sufficient energy infrastructure for our nation.
Our organizations, which include competitive power generators, natural gas suppliers, and interstate natural gas pipelines, stand ready to work with policymakers and regulators to find common-sense solutions that will allow the United States to meet both growing energy demand and climate goals.
