Maggie O’Connell is the Director of Security, Reliability, and Resilience with the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA). She is responsible for managing all aspects of INGAA’s physical and cybersecurity, reliability, resilience, and gas/electric interchangeability policy and regulatory efforts. 

Prior to her role at INGAA, Maggie served as a Policy Analyst with the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers Association (AFPM), where she worked primarily on physical and cybersecurity issues. She has worked in a variety of roles at other D.C.-based trade associations and with a United Nations regional organization, supporting programs that advance democracy, human rights, multidimensional security, and sustainable development in the Americas.

Maggie previously served on the Executive Committee for the Chemical Sector Coordinating Council and currently participates in several industry security groups, including the Steering Team for the Department of Homeland Security’s Industrial Control Systems Joint Working Group (ICSJWG) and various Department of State Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) Working Groups. Maggie holds a B.A. in government and Spanish from Franklin & Marshall College, and an M.A. from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
