Hydrocarbons, existing as vapor in natural gas reservoirs, that condense to liquids as their temperature and pressure decrease when natural gas is produced. Natural gas condensates consist mostly of pentanes (C5H12) and some heavier hydrocarbons. Once condensed, natural gas liquids are usually blended with crude oil for refining.
